 DAY 1  Arrival in Lima - Meet & greet on arrival and transfer to your hotel.  Rest of the day at Leisure.

 DAY 2  Lima (B/D) - Enjoy a day of exploring starting off in the historical centre, Plaza San Martín, Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. Visit also the San Francisco Monastery with its underground maze of tunnels and catacombs. Finally, head to Lima’s contemporary districts, Miraflores and San Isidro, that combine beautiful parks and shopping centres. Later in the evening enjoy a romantic dinner in a local restaurant.

 DAY 3  Lima - Arequipa (B) - Transfer to the airport for your flight to Arequipa - at 7660 ft above sea level this fertile valley is surrounded by three majestic snow-capped volcanoes. Transfer to the hotel followed by a tour of the White City with its unique architecture, a breath-taking plaza, baroque-style churches, and colonial mansions made of white volcanic stone.

 DAY 4  Arequipa (B/L) - Begin your gastronomic tour through Arequipa with a visit to the San Camilo Market with its variety of fruit and vegetables. Buy the ingredients which you will need for your cooking class and enjoy the results for lunch. 

 DAY 5  Arequipa - Colca (Shared) (B/L) - The Colca Canyon is one of the world’s deepest gorges. Here, you will drive through the Aguada Blanca National Park home to herds of wild vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. Reach the tour’s highest viewpoint at 16,108ft and appreciate the snow-capped peaks of the region’s volcanoes. After lunch you have the option to relax at thermal baths or visit the local market.

 DAY 6  Colca (B) - Free day at Leisure to enjoy the surrounding area.

 DAY 7  Colca - Puno (Shared) (B/L*) - After an early breakfast, make your way to the “Cruz del Condor” viewpoint of the canyon. Stop in the small towns of Maca and Yanque renowned for their small colonial churches and stunning landscapes and Lagunillas with its impressive natural lagoon before continuing on to Puno, located on the shores of Lake Titicaca (12,506ft), the world’s highest navigable lake.

 DAY 8  Puno - Lake Titicaca (Shared) (B/L) - Lake Titicaca is nestled in the Andes Mountains on the border between Bolivia and Peru and is the largest lake in South America. Depart from Puno to the unique floating Uros islands and meet resident families dressed in traditional and colourful outfits. Continue to the island of Taquile with pre-Inca terraces, unpaved roads and no cars, electricity or pollution. Learn about the people’s unchanged lifestyles for thousands of years and their unique traditions based on community collectivism.

 DAY 9  Puno - Cusco (B/L) - Transfer to the train station for a 10 hour journey to Cusco. During the train ride you will enjoy the landscapes of the Andean highlands, a gourmet lunch and a show with traditional music and dances. On arrival transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

 DAY 10  Cusco (Shared) (B) - Cusco (11,150ft) was the heartland of the Incan Empire. Start your tour in the “Plaza de Armas” and visit the impressive renaissance-style Cathedral. Continue through small alleys edged with Incan walls until Koricancha, the temple dedicated to the sun - its foundations were used to build the Catholic Church Santo Domingo. Explore different Inca ruins around Cusco; Sacsayhuamán, the Inca ceremonial fortress dedicated to the sun. Qenqo, a temple carved in a gigantic monolith, Puca Pucara fort and the Inca Baths Tambomachay.

 DAY 11  Cusco - Sacred Valley (B) - Bordering the Urubamba River, its fertile soils were ideal for maize production, a key ingredient to make “chicha”, a fermented maize drink highly consumed by the Incas during festivities and ceremonies. Start with a visit of Awana Kancha, a living museum of Andean camelids and learn about traditional weaving techniques. Continue to Pisac with the bazaar-like open Market.

 DAY 1  Sacred Valley (B) - Start the day at Piuray Lagoon - Stand-up Paddle or Kayak on this beautiful lake with spectacular landscapes, perfect shallow water and lots of birds. Continue to Moray and for its unique circular pre-Inca agricultural terraces before returning to your hotel.

 DAY 12  Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu (B/D) - In the morning, board the train and enjoy the stunning Andean views - arrive at Aguas Calientes, a small village nestled at the bottom of Machu Picchu, take the shuttle bus up to the ancient citadel and learn about the Inca civilization, the site’s discovery, and the different theories on this mysterious and spectacular archaeological site.

 DAY 13  Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco (B/D) - Head to the citadel a second time for more exploring before the train journey back to Cusco. Check in to your hotel and in the evening dine in the crystal cube at the Pre-Columbian Art Museum.

 DAY 14  Cusco (B) - Day at leisure until time for your transfer to the airport.
